Sandrine GadolChief Innovation Officer, L’Oréal

An experienced product developer and marketing executive, Sandrine Gadol began driving change at L’Oréal long before her appointment as Chief Innovation Officer of the company’s U.S operations in 2013. During her twenty-eight years at L’Oréal, she has worked across brands on projects that took her around the globe and sharpened her expertise in corporate branding, product innovation, and change management. In her current role, Ms. Gadol has built a team that works upstream from the brands she used to lead, sitting at the intersection of research, innovation, and marketing. Her team is on the front lines crafting category disruptors and sustainable innovations that solve key consumer tensions, provide benefits for brands, and drive industry shifts. With a talent for translating consumer insights and trend research into beauty innovations, she and her team have collaborated on notable projects including the development of La Roche-Posay’s My UV Patch skin sensor; the first make-up Virtual Try On launched by L’Oréal Paris’ augmented reality app, Makeup Genius; and L’Oréal Water Saver named in TIME magazine’s 100 Best Inventions of 2021. These efforts to identify and explore the next beauty frontiers have been critical to reinforcing L’Oréal’s leadership within the industry today.

In 1994 Ms. Gadol began her career at L’Oréal and quickly advanced within the company. She has served as Global Vice President for Skincare at Garnier, Head of Global Marketing for La Roche-Posay, Vice President of Skincare for L’Oréal Paris, and Senior Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining L’Oréal, she worked in television production at one of the largest talk shows in France.

Ms. Gadol received her bachelor’s degree in history from Sorbonne and a graduate degree from Institute of Political Sciences in Paris.
