Andreas Geiss has been working in Siemens AG since 2000 and was assigned to different responsibilities within Germany and China.
After his studies, he joined the chemical and pharmaceutical company Hoechst AG in 1996 (Frankfurt/ Main), starting within plant- and project engineering as an engineer and later as project director. In 2004, Andreas Geiss transferred to the Automation & Drives group of Siemens in Nuremberg, building up a contract management group for enterprise customers. After his General Manager position (2006-2009) being responsible for Process Automation Solutions at Siemens in China (Industrial Automation), he integrated and led the business segment of Comos Industry Solutions within Siemens Process Industries & Drives Division from 2010 until 2016. In December 2016 Andreas took over the CTO- responsibility for Mindsphere, the Siemens Industrial IoT as a service solution, within the Siemens Division of Digital Factory (now Digital Industries), assuming also responsibility as Vice President for Strategy in February 2018. As of October 2019, Andreas assumed the responsibility for the business segment ‘Digital Enterprise & Digital Services’ within Siemens Digital Industries as Senior Vice President & General Manager.
Andreas is holding a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the University in Mannheim and holds an Executive Transition Certificate of the European School of Management & Technology (ESMT) in Berlin.
