Álvaro de Nicolas is CEO of DNA Ventures, an advisory and consulting company focused on Transformation through innovation. Álvaro has led critical transformation programmes in Media and Advertising (Havas Media), Travel (Tui, Hotelbeds Group and Awaze), as well as Financial Services (Lloyds Banking Group) and software development (Seachange).
In addition he takes part in the advisory committee of numerous startups in France, Spain, UK and USA in various stages of development and is a patron of several foundations. Recognized as Best CIO in Spain (2019) with international experience in Private Equity led companies, as well as publicly traded, he has managed both M&A, Carve-outs and divestments. As an Executive Leader trained in Accenturer and specialised in using Technology and Product Innovation to transform complex businesses, he banks 20+ years of achievement in tech development and delivery.
Álvaro is a Telecommunications Engineer, holds a Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School, and is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
