Tsvetanka Mintcheva has more than 20 years career path in the banking sector, starting from an intern position in UniCredit in Bulgaria in 2001. Since then, she developed herself in different roles - from various execution and managerial functions within the Retail network and Head Office team., incl. the coordination and development of alternative distribution channels. In September 2013, she was appointed as a Head of Retail Division, and a Member of the Management Board. In 2017 she was appointed as a Head of Global Banking Services Division within UniCredit Bulbank successfully implementing multiple strategic and transformation projects.
From March 2020 till June 2021 she holds the position of Deputy CEO of UniCredit Bank Romania. Since September 2021 she holds the position of CEO and Chairperson of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank.
In March 2022, Tsvetanka Mintcheva was appointed as a Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria.
While building her career in the pan European group of UniCredit, Tsvetanka stayed engaged with the cause of developing women leadership. Since September 2015 she is a member of the Management Board of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and in June 2022 she was elected Chairperson of the MB of the organization. Under her guidance, the organization further developed its strategic focus to enhancing diversity and inclusion in Bulgarian business. CWBB became an active player and works actively with authorities for building environment that supports women growth and providing opportunities for young people to stay in Bulgaria.
Tsvetanka Mintcheva has a degree in economics and an MBA in international business from MIB School of Management in Italy. In 2023 she was named Manager of the Year 2023 at the 16th edition of the competition for top managerial achievements.
